The Marquess Of Granby

So why the "Marquess of Granby"?

John Manners, the Marquess of Granby, was a British General at the time of the Seven Years War.  Reputedly he set up many of his old soldiers in inns and taverns which were named after him.

It therefore seems appropriate to set up this wargaming blog as if it is a comfortable room in such a tavern, just the place to cradle a pint in front of a roaring open fire and mull over aspects of the hobby.
